Favorite Friday

On cold days like this my favorite thing in Peppermint tea. I spent two winters in Bulgaria. It was so cold-all the time. You never feel warm, even indoors. The buildings are old and poorly insulated. Every where you go people would offer you "chai" Or tea in English. It was the only thing that made you warm, for a short while. Since I only drink herbal tea, peppermint was usually offered (I'm still trying to figure out what Lipov is in english-the other herbal tea we drank). Anyway, on cold days like this I like to sit and sip a hot cup of peppermint tea-it always takes me back to those bitter cold days as a Missionary.

Mine is Botswana Blossom Red Tea. It takes me back to a time I loved too. Taste can be such a powerful sense!

Please don't try and figure out lipov chai...man that stuff was gross! Remember how people used to freak out when we told them we left our heater on all day?

Rick and I still drink our peppermint tea...some things never change even after 13 years :)

I love peppermint tea also! My latest addiction to keep me warm is hot chocolate! Can't stop drinking it.
