Our stockings all hung on the chimney with care. Can you believe that my husband made these- he even went to the fabric store and picked out the fabric. Watch out Martha!
This picture was taken from the top of the stairs.
This was the first year that we cut down our own tree. (I'm still trying to sway Miles to get a fake tree-not sure I will ever win that debate.) So, we get to the tree farm and asked about the price of the trees, $40 for a small and $50 for a large. Being the man that Miles is we had to get the most for our money. And boy did we ever, the thing was touching the ceiling- a 2 story ceiling mind you. We even had to trim the top to put the star on. So needless to say I think we won the Griswold's Christmas award for 2008.
Miles, once again ~ you are the MAN! If you can sew Christmas stockings, you can convince your wife to stay true to the holiday and have a REAL tree every year.
Amy -- the tree is probably the most beautiful "cut your own" I've seen. It's beautiful!!!
Love the tree!! That is one fat cat!!!!!!!!!! Your house looks beautiful!!! Hope you had a fun festive season. It is too cold here in Utah. Why dont we all move to Florida?? Or Texas!!!! Love you lots, Claire. oxoxoxoxo
