Thoughts on Valentine's Day

I don't see why some people have a problem with Valentine's Day. I mean come people, it finally gets those lazy men (and some women) to get off their lazy %$$es and show their love. This holiday is made for those signal ladies, to weed out the bad ones from the keepers. I myself have a keeper. He may not be perfect but, he adores me. From the very beginning of our relationship he showered me with tokens of his affection. My guy never left me wondering what his feelings were for me. And almost 11 years later he still likes to write me poems and plan surprises for me. I am one of those girls that enjoys being spoiled by their man (never understood those girls that didn't like this kind of attention) so Valentine's is another way I get to be spoiled. I'm spoiled rotten!

Amy, I made Austin read your post!! I have to say I always enjoy a nice romantic gesture now and then, even if sometimes I say the opposite LOL.

Yeah! I love how Rick will call Aren from the store and say, "Hey, I found this for mom...should we get it for her?" and then Aren will be giddy waiting for him to come home...I LOVE IT!

Oh, and I made lentil soup last night and I've been thinking about cold winters in Bulgaria with you ever since :)

Sometimes the most romantic gesture isn't flowers or chocolate (flowers, at least), but something small and unexpected. Jerry goes to every single chemo session with me, though he hates hospitals and everything about them. It's the most loving and romantic thing he could do.
(It's these Germer men. Keepers, all of them.)

Lucie,
All the Germer men I have ever meet are all keepers!
And, You are so right! When Miles washes dishes-now that is pure romance!

I say any excuse to show a little more love than usual is a good thing! I love Valentines day!
