Obama-lama-ding-dong

Okay, so if you are an Obama fan you might not want to read this post. With all the hype surrounding the democratic party right now (due to the convention). I've had politics on the brain. I like to think I am pretty political informed. I have been watching and paying attention to democrats this week, although I lean to right on most issues. With that said, I have not been very impressed with the democrats thus far with one exception, Hillary Clinton. I have never been a fan of hers but, I got it, when I heard her speech. She should have been their candidate.

Obama (this is my opinion) is not prepared to be head of our country. Every time he opens his mouth all I hear is a bunch of flowery fluff. Other than his extreme voting record I have no idea what his views are on most issues. Yes, he wants to raise taxes but, so does every other democrat out there. When I ask Obama fans what they like about him all they can say is "I really like him". Ok, he is likable, I will give him that but, does that make a president? I think not, let's hear your solutions Mr. Obama- he is way too vague. Thursday night he better buckle down and actually deal with his fluffiness. If you are an Obama supporter please enlighten me as too why he is the democrat's nominee.

Maybe John McCain should put Hillary as his running mate, now that would be something.

I think he's the nominee because a lot of people didn't want a woman for president. I agree, i really loved Clinton's speech at the DNC. It was the only one I was actually interested in.
There's one thing I like about Obama. During a primary debate, they were all asked "What is your weakness?" and he actually gave one (he's not organized). Clinton and Edwards (cheating husband, unbelievable) both said something like "I care too much about people or my country", which was lame. I thought it was refreshing he would give an honest answer. Also, I think his wife is awesome/smart/educated/etc... .
I agree he says a lot of things people want to hear. I'm still undecided.

Amy, we've been on a downward spiral in foreign affairs, energy, the economy, health care, loss of civil rights...for the last eight years. I feel it's high time for a change. Uncle J

PS. Thanks for your comments to Lucie's blog. I appreciate them as much as she does.
